MISSION
DCC is a powerful opportunity to meet and do business with the senior executives from the major consumer electronics and IT retailers from across Russia and the CIS markets. DCC is a focused regional event based on the proven concept of bringing high-level buyers from emerging markets into productive contact with vital vendors.
The fifth annual Digital Consumer Channel (DCC) CIS event cemented its credentials in June 2008 as the ultimate "must attend" event for retailers, distributors and vendors selling through the retail channel in Russia and the CIS countries.
More than 550 delegates gathered together at Le Meridien Moscow Country Club for the 2008 event, which included a compelling mix of one-on-one meetings, presentations, workshops and professional networking opportunities. In total, more than 1,200 one-on-one meetings between vendors and retailers occurred during DCC 2008.
“Every year, we have seen more and more newcomers attend our conference,” said Frederic Simard, executive director at DISTREE Events, the organiser of DCC CIS. “Last year’s expansion of product categories has seen the largest registration of new participants since the event was launched five years ago. We strive to refresh and develop the event format to ensure that it remains both relevant and productive to all the attendees.”
The retail executives attending last year’s DCC CIS represented more than 11,000 individual retail outlets from across the region. Almost three quarters of the retail delegates travelled to DCC CIS from outside Moscow, providing DCC CIS with impressive retail credentials. Delegates included senior executives from retail chains operating in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgystan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan as well as Russia itself.
“To succeed in the Russian retail market it is important for vendors to meet the retailers face-to-face,” added Simard. “Russia and CIS are geographically vast and we remain committed to bringing together the principal retail executives in one place at one time, allowing vendors a unique opportunity to meet these important partners.”
